Exercise for Science gets a fresh new look

As our work gains momentum, we’ve overhauled our website to make it easier to explore

As of August 2023 we’ve completed 10 research studies used MRI scanning to explore the effects of exercise on our bodies. With our work often getting attention from national - and international - publications, we realise that a variety of people are interested in our findings. We’re delighted to be hearing from fellow scientists and healthcare professionals, sports scientists, potential participants, runners and cyclists.

A clearer way to explore our research

Now, when you visit our Studies page, you can see all ten pieces of research at a glance, with tags to help categories them - hips, knees, spine, muscle.

To find out more about any study in particular, just select it and you’ll gain a deeper overview of our research objectives, methodology and results. There’s also a link to the scientific paper with all the technical details for those who want them.

Room for expansion

We hope you like the new framework - with many more studies in the pre-planning phase, this new approach should give us the foundations for ongoing expansion and clear presentation of our journey into the science of exercise.
