Why volunteer?
Do you love exercise or avoid it? Would you like to be fitter? Do you ever wonder whether exercise is good or bad for your joints, or how it could help them? Our studies depend on people like you. By measuring the effects of your exercise on your joints, we can answer these questions for you and others like you.
It’s easy to get involved and it won’t take up too much time. For most studies we’ll just need you to come in for two health checks with an MRI scan — typically once before and once after the period of training and activity you’re undertaking. Musculoskeletal MRI scanning enables you to find out all about your health and fitness and learn about any damage or weaknesses to be aware of in your joints — an opportunity that can be costly or difficult to access normally.
